Moonbeam IV – Classic Sloop 115′
Moonbeam IV, Maintenance of the hull and outside deck and rig.
The famous number 8 classic yacht built in 1914 and now based in Brest came in Concarneau winter 2021-2022. Refit program includes :
– the rig has been fully check, serviced and revarnished. Top mast has been changed
– hull has been inspected and some wood parts have been changed
– Keel bolts has been checked
– Steering system and mechanical systems have been serviced
– Outside woodwork including superstructures and bulwark has been revarnished
– New Awlgripp hull paint, new antifouling and color change back to original colour
Moonbeam IV came back at yard winter 2022-2023 for a second refit consisting in :
– dismounting all the interiors, piping and electricity
– sandblasting the inside of the hull, repair steel structure, repaint interior of the hull
– new piping network and systems, new engine, new genset
– new electrical and electronic systems
– new interiors
– now outside woodwork (doghouse and skylight)
